Research Context

Retatrutide activates GLP-1R, GIPR and the glucagon receptor (GCGR), three class B G protein-coupled receptors with distinct but overlapping signaling pathways. As a pharmacological probe it has been used to examine additive and synergistic effects of tri-receptor co-activation on cAMP signaling, and how glucagon receptor signaling interacts with incretin receptor co-stimulation in cell-based models.
